Brutal stories of war are reported almost daily. Enough could never be said about the damage to innocents especially children. Peace does not stay long until another battle begins.
Peter was confidently blind. Jesus was in Jerusalem. He was hours away from being brutally tortured and then executed by crucifixion. He informed his followers that all would fall away. Peter confidently declared that he would be the one to be found faithful. Sadly, the confident Peter would soon deny Jesus three times.
Simplicity has power. A simple hand drawn picture from a loving 5 year old can touch the depth of the parent’s soul. A simple statement from Jesus also speaks to the core of the soul. He stated, “whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them.”
